Girls’ Holidays – multicultural summer camp in Wisla

„Girls’ Holidays” – multicultural summer camp in Wisla, organized thanks to the support of the ING for Children Foundation as part of their Smile Camps program took part from July 22 to August 2, 2019.

40 girls participated in the camp: 20 students from Warsaw Elementary School No 141, and 20 girls from immigrant and refugee families from Chechnya, Tajikistan, Kenya, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan, associated with the Ocalenie Foundation. The participants were looked after by 4 tutors and 2 cultural mentors from Chechnya and Sudan.

The camp’s program included exploring the area, mountain tours, walks and educational activities: intercultural workshops, teamwork workshops, self-defense courses, work on a presentation about heroines as well as a workshop on children’s rights and human rights.

Financial support for workshops, workshop materials and staff was provided by the PZU Foundation.
