Get it done: Complete the 500+ application with us

On 30 April 2021, the deadline to apply for the 500+ child benefit passed. This does not mean that applications submitted after this date will not be considered. Parents and guardians who have missed the deadline can still submit their applications, but there are few things to keep in mind.

As we wrote in our previous article, from 2021 the deadlines to apply for the 500+ benefit will change. From this year onwards, the benefit will be granted for one year (1 June to 31 May of the following year), and will need to be re-applied on an annual basis (read more on this here: https://en.ocalenie.org.pl/getitdone/new-deadlines-to-apply-for-the-500-child-benefit).

Parents and guardians who have been receiving the benefit in the period 2019/2021 will receive the last payment in May 2021. If the application for the benefit in the next period was not submitted by 30 April, this will result in delay of payments. However, it should be remembered that only the submission of the application by the end of June 2021 guarantees that the childcare benefit will be paid with compensation from June 1.

What about newborn babies? After the baby is born, the parents have three months to apply for the 500+ benefit to receive the benefit from the month of the child’s birth. Otherwise the benefit will be paid from the day when when the application was submitted.

How to complete and submit an application

Do you have a Trusted Profile (Profil Zaufany)? If yes, then submit your application online via the Emp@tia portal or Social Insurance Institution’s electronic platform (PUE ZUS). Check our article on the Trusted Profile here:
